Total Fitness was established in 1998 and has grown to be Southern Indiana’s Premier Fitness Facility.

Total Fitness featurs state of the art equipment and tons of it. Our weight room spans over 10,000 square feet and includes selectorized machines, plate-loaded equipment and free weights.

We pride ourselves on having the very best in machines, cardio equipment and the most extensive free weight area around.  We have equipment to target every area of the body.

Our weight room is arranged by muscle group so that you can easily navigate your way around in an efficient and timely manner.  Our certified personal trainers are on hand for equipment instruction free of charge.

The cardio area is over 3,500 square feet and is surrounded by televisions for your enjoyment.

Enjoy a variety of classes that provide an effective workout to build cardiovascular endurance. Spinning, Step, Cardio Fusion, Total Body, Turbo Kick, Rumba and Zumba will all get your heart pounding, blood pumping, and sweat rolling. All you need is your water bottle, sweet towel, and motivation!

Cardio Kickboxing is a combination of dance and martial arts that will undoubtedly improve your endurance and cardiovascular fitness, tone muscles and shred your abs if you practice consistently with power and precision. Cardio Kickboxing routines are characterized by their high intensity intervals coupled with toning recovery periods to zap calories and define your muscles.

Most of all, cardio kickboxing is fun! Set to upbeat music, the energetic instructor keeps you from being bored by challenging your mind and your body. Cardio kickboxing classes are a great juxtaposition to your more monotonous running or elliptical days.

Spin Class

Indoor cycling classes are done in the Spinning Studio, with various light and music settings to create an energized atmosphere.
Instructors guide participants through workout phases. Warm-up, steady uptempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc.
You control resistance on your bike to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as you choose. Constant adjustment is normal.
All you’ll need is workout clothes, a towel (to wipe your face) and a water bottle.
Stationary bikes have toe clips so you can wear tennis shoes. But many pedals also work with Shimano-style SPD cleats.

Pilates exercises focus on the “powerhouse,” or the stabilizing muscles of the torso, which support the spine. True for exercises performed both on the mat and the apparatus, every movement one does in a Pilates workout emanates from the core, keeping practitioners “honest,” by gently forcing them to use both sides of the body symmetrically. In order to successfully initiate and achieve a movement, both sides have to participate equally, giving the dominant, overused muscles a break, and demanding that the “weaker” underutilized muscles have an opportunity to participate, hence, literally balancing the body.

Yoga focuses on breathing and poses. Poses, also called postures, are a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility. Poses range from lying on the floor while completely relaxed to difficult postures that may have you stretching your physical limits. Breathing is an important part of yoga. In yoga, breath signifies your vital energy. Yoga teaches that controlling your breathing can help you control your body and quiet your mind.
